About

I am a simple Christian seeking to live a life that honors God. I recognize that I have received the most important gift that can exist and that is to have had the privilege of hearing the gospel of Christ. It is for this reason that every day I wake up grateful to have one more day to enjoy my family, and friends and to be able to have the blessing of getting closer every day to my Lord and Savior: Jesus Christ. It is my desire to be able to live a life here on earth with a view to eternity because I am aware that life is short compared to eternity. So, taking advantage of the time, I wish to live a life in which I can practice the faith that I proclaim.

What is the faith that I proclaim?

  • That I am a sinner with a sentence that I cannot escape. I inherited that condemnation from the first parents (Adam and Eve) and then I promoted it with my actions.
  • That I cannot with my own strength or actions open the doors of heaven for myself, which leaves me without the opportunity to effect salvation for myself.
  • That Jesus, being God, was incarnated of his own free will to offer the only sacrifice sufficient to redeem me and justify me before God the Father and that that sacrifice was made only once and forever.
  • That God made flesh and who died for my sins, resurrected on the third day, thus conquering death and ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, from where he intercedes for us.
  • That salvation is obtained by pure grace of God through faith in Christ.
In this place, I want to give thanks for what I have received by grace that is why I will be recording my reflections in the form of devotionals about everything I have learned and researching about this wonderful grace.
If what you want to know is my name, here it is: I am Hecdalis Vargas. By the grace of God I had the privilege of being born in a Christian home (Pentecostal) and today I persevere in the Baptist Church in Illinois. Despite being born in a Christian home, it was not until I was 14 years old that I began to be enthusiastic about “things above” or “spiritual.” But it is not until now that I would like to share with all of you the beauty of the Word of God to, in that way, and if possible, awaken in you also that desire and passion to know God more every day through his beautiful Word.
Welcome to this little place, which now, I hope, is also yours.
